Melody Fallah Khair has served as the head of standards and research for cloud and network services (CNS) at Nokia in Sunnyvale, California, since 2019. Her responsibilities in this position involve researching and prototyping next-generation 6G autonomous network technology, with a focus on cloud-native and AI-native principles. Melody Fallah Khair leads a CNS team that emphasizes the self-optimizing, self-healing, and self-operating benefits of AI technology within 5G and 6G networks.
Melody Khair is the former senior director of product management and engineering for cloud and managed services platforms at Cisco. Her achievements in that role included the creation and oversight of more than 100 development and product management teams responsible for building next-gen mobile and software-as-a-service products. She is also a co-founder of the social media startup eBibelot.
Ms. Khair holds a master of science in telecommunications technology management with honors from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. She received her undergraduate degree in software engineering. A cancer survivor, she is a proud advocate of the Blood Cancer United Silicon Valley chapter. Her volunteer work with the organization includes mentoring services as part of the Student Visionaries of the Year program. She is also a supporter of young female entrepreneurs, especially high school students interested in STEM careers.
